Bus to Fornalutx
We thought about renting a car for our excursions. Outside the hotel you find fair rates for cars, the only problem is parking. On Mallorca you are never alone with an idea, so empty parking lots are rare – very rare to find!Around Soller a good bus network offers lines with acceptable timetables to the spots of interest. But also here, you are never alone. Fortunately, the bus network starts at Port de Soller and we belong to the first guests. Next stop is Soller, only as many people can enter the bus as free seats are available. This is bad news for the surplus travelers. After Soller curvy road begins to climb up the hills. Depending on the driver’s temperament you get seriously shaken. Glad to arrive in Fornalutx.
Fornalutx is a very nice and maintained mountain village. Narrow streets and steps are lined by old stone buildings. It is very picturesque!
The mountains in the background are really gorgeous. I like this Mediterranean limestone rocks and cliffs, spares on top but with great vegetation on its base.

During our visit there was a local festival. Streets were nice decorated. Nearby all citizens were found on the main place in middle of town. Prices were spread out and a lot of happy faces could be detected.
A tall police man with a long beard protected the site. I asked to make a picture of him. He denied due to official rules. I did not tell him, that he is already photographed. In respect of him I do not present that picture.
