Lunch and Dinner in Port de Soller
As mentioned, you will find a variety of restaurants in Port de Soller. Most of them offers fine seafood, but there also kitchens with Italian-, Chinese-, Mexican- and other food.We start the small tour with our favorite:
Ses Oliveres
We found the best mix of fine food, professional service and warmhearted hospitality in this restaurant at the bay promenade. Their staff can you consult in English language and you get your favorite food. Prices are transparent and moderate. Apart from the menu you can choose fresh fish out of the ice showcase, the server will weigh the fish and offers you the price. Shure, fresh fish has always its price, but it is the money worth.
Normally we began our evening with a jerez tio pepe (dry sherry) and some olives with bread and house made mayonnaise. Favorite starter were mejillones (mussels) in a white wine soup with leek.
For the main menu they offer a selection of seafood rice alongside with other meals. This rice is verry tasty. The server explained us what we would feel is not salty, it is the taste of seafood. We never hat the idea, that it is (too) salty. The rice is not high yellow as the standard paella, it looks little darkened, maybe the result of octopus ink or a special spice, but who knows.
For finishing you have to find some space for a desert and a café solo (espresso), don’t miss it!
We really enjoyed the four evenings in this restaurant with its own tasty food, the friendly staff and the view to the bay of Port de Soller. Thank you so much!

Sa figuera
If you like nouvelle cuisine, this is your address. Food is superb and the location alongside the pool of the hotel Es Port gives a feeling of romantic. The staff is friendly, correct and helpful, but also a little distant, maybe the result of nobles. Prices are little higher but not rude expensive. We recommend it for a fine dinner, but in our point of view not the every evening location.
Our choice of the evening: lobster, coconut and seafood cream ravioli
La Sal
Several times we choose this location some steps away from the tram station for a small lunch. They offer Mexican like food with tortilla chips and avocado together with seafood. There are lunch plates to share for two people, what was quite enough for us. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant, we were always inside, is plain and cozy.
And the tram is always present ….
Bar Kitaypon
They offer hamburgers, frites, toasts and so on. A young, jolly and friendly crew works in the kitchen and serves the guests. Food is from good quality and the restaurant is cleaner than you expect from the first view in distance. I like the avocado toasts.
Always good music and an interesting mix of guests – residents and tourists. The music style sounds like a mix of salsa and mariachi it’s called “merenge”, explained me Michael from Osnabrück. He sent me a selection of titles via mail to give it a trial, thanks again!

Bon Vi
Going back to traditional food/seafood we can also recommend the Bon Vi Restaurant some steps from the Bar Kitaypon away. Service is friendly and on a familiar atmosphere, food is of good quality and tasty but without the uniqueness of our favorite on top. Maybe the right restaurant for people who like a standard Paella.
Concluding Port of Soller offers a nearly endless number of restaurants and bars. It’s up to you to find your preferred location.
And a last word to the subject of tip. If you have enjoyed a fine meal served by a friendly and obliging staff, also if you pay with the credit card, honor their effort with a fair tip!
